Jérôme and François have been together for 13 years and live in Paris. Their desire to start a family brings them to explore several ways to adopt and to be co-parents, but the first attempt proves nearly impossible and the second turns out to be too complicated. A documentary on surrogate mothers pushes them into trying that road. Luck calls twice at their door when Collen, a North American woman who lives on a farm in Wisconsin with her husband and their three daughters, not only decides to help them to make their dream come true, having herself had problems becoming a mother, but also wants to do so completely altruistically. So starts an incredible adventure, with various trips to the USA and with strong links being created between the two couples, until the day of the birth itself, full of extraordinary emotion for all four. In this unrepeatable way we feel what it means for two men to become parents. This is a reflection on existential odysseys, where responsibility, love and generosity contribute to the hatching of new family structures and ties.
