Joven & alocada
Daniela is 17 and lives in Santiago de Chile, in a family absorbed in the religious bigotry of an evangelist sect. She can escape reality by creating a photolog where she does not mince any words to explain her fantasies and sexual experiences, as well as her crazy family life. By doing so, Daniela discovers pleasure with both genders, thinking with harshness about her body and the absurdity of religious messages whereas she looks for her place in this world. Based on the story of the young Camila Gutiérrez, with a script written by herself in collaboration with the director, the brilliant Marialy Rivas, that delights us with this small cinema masterpiece awarded in Sundance.

Besides the spontaneity of the story and the youth of the technical and artistic ensemble, Joven & Alocada stands out for an original and careful editing, structured around the internet chats between the main character and her followers, with colour filters and embedded images that are close to experimental and offer a passionate portrait of the Chilean youth of today that is breaking with traditions. It has also excellent electropop music from Javiera Mena.
