Gun hill road
After spending three years in prison, Enrique goes back home to the Bronx, where he finds a very different environment from the one he left. His wife, Angela, has become estranged from him and is now trying to hide a secret relationship. His teenage son, Michael, is in the process of questioning his sexuality, something that Enrique cannot understand nor accept, trapped by all the Latino macho prejudices that he's got around the concept of masculinity.

In spite of Angela's efforts to protect her son, Enrique doesn't seem to make any progress. Still on parole, will he manage not to break the law again in spite of all his personal issues? Will he be able to come closer to love, despite the hostility of the urban environment? A touching film about the impact that finding out about a child's transsexual identity might produce in some families. Special Jury Award at Sundance.
