Jun quits his theological studies because he's gay decides to run a little hotel in Baguio, a small, isolated village in the mountains. Among his many guests, the charming Errol and his girlfriend arrive one day to stay. This is the start of an overwhelming and clandestine love story between Jun and his guest, a story that will last more than 30 years, feeding on the letters exchanged by both men. Whereas Jun has many relationships and turns into a political activist for the Communist Party, Errol becomes a lawyer and starts a family. However, their relationship survives the dramatic events that shake the country until the arrival of President Marcos.

The epic romanticism and the historical reminiscences make Muli a film that transcends time. A beautiful and captivating work.
