THE LOOK OF... DAVID BOWIE
The Hunger
El ansia is perhaps the most important cult film of Bowie's career, as much for its prominent cast and Bauhuas-laced soundtrack as for being one of the best vampire movies of the sinister 80s. Moreover, Director Tony Scott introduces new elements to the hackneyed genre: the vampires have no fangs, they are not eternal, nor scary. Rather, they are refined, elegant and sophisticated. The special effects, music, makeup, and a few unforgettable scenes elevate it to cult classic status.

Miriam and John (Deneuve and Bowie) are an attractive couple of vampires, going through a difficult stage. For some unknown reason, John starts to age. Desperate to save his life, he goes to Dr Sarah Roberts (Sarandon) for help. Sarah does her best to understand his illness and along the way, falls in love with the mysterious Miriam.
