OFFICIAL SECTION: FEATURE FILMS
La Belle saison
Film director and actor Philipp Karner serves up a profound and intimate portrait of the world of the stable couple. In an effort to rekindle their earlier passion, Mark and Jonah decide to make theirs an open relationship for three months. From that moment on, cracks begin to show in what seemed such a solid couple. Each in their own way, Mark and Jonah suffer and fight to regain their happiness.

A surprisingly raw and tender film, superbly directed, Like You Mean It sidesteps cliché to talk about subjects that interest all couples: sincerity, commitment and frustration, and it does so through extraordinarily authentic performances that confirm Karner as one of the finest talents on the new American indie cinema, following hot on the heels of Weekend, Keep the Lights On and the like. A sincere, no-holds-barred film.
