Honeymoon
Honeymoon A film packed with surprise, Honeymoon begins with the story Tereza and Radim's completely conventional wedding party, which brings their family and friends together in the country for two days. But, without leaving the narrative frame, it also explores one of the most interesting and least discussed themes in gay-oriented film: abuse, remorse and forgiveness. It is fascinating to see the subtlety that the veteran Czech director Jan Hrebejk brings to bear as he opens up a subject that is painful for so many gays who have suffered the stigma of childhood abuse, talking about this gloomy issue in a film that is filled with light. During this intimate family wedding, an unexpected guest arrives to threaten the peace and happiness of a couple apparently without past, but who have a dark secret that suddenly invades their happiest day.
